While Naughty Dog is insanely busy right now as they finish off the Uncharted series with The Lost Legacy, in addition to working on The Last Of Us Part 2, it is a shame that we aren’t getting an updated version of these Jak and Daxter games for the modern era. That final title has never been re-released anywhere else since its 2005 release on the PlayStation 2, while the first three were part of the HD collection on the PlayStation 3.

Jak X: Combat Racing is not part of the main series, but was the one shoot-off that was developed by Naughty Dog, which might be why it is included. The main series of games consists of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, Jak 3, and J ak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. As you may have noticed, The Lost Frontier has been oddly left off this list, which may be because it was the one game in the main series not developed by Naughty Dog (it was developed by High Impact Games). For those that don't know: Jak and Daxter is a story-based platformer series from developers Naughty Dog, and is one the defining franchises of the PS2 era.
